TRIVIA

Trivia

Was originally written as a stage play. Victoria Wood (who wrote it) helped adapt it for TV.

The recording of 'Nymphs and Shepherds' sung by the Manchester Children's Choir on 24 June 1929 was released later that year as a 78rpm record by Columbia (cataloge 9909). The B-side was the dance duet from Hansel and Gretel by Humperdinck.

There was a real TV documentary about a reunion of the choir. Presented by Peter Williams, it was made by Thames TV for 'This Week' and first broadcast on 19 June 1975.

Actor Gareth Ronan had Victoria Wood crying with laughter on set, after several takes by Michael ball of a scene, Gareth interrupted "been here hours now and not a pot washed", Mr Ball did not like this
