Actress Angela Vint (Athena) actually went into labor while rehearsing the scene where she goes in to labor.
The scenes shot on the streets for the gay pride parade were shot at the actual annual Toronto Gay Pride parade, which is the largest annual gay pride celebration in North America, drawing between 500,000 and 750,000 people each year, and which also allows full nudity for the parade participants, just as portrayed in the movie.
