TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Not the first instance of a female star directing herself. Earlier examples include Grace Cunard and Mabel Normand.

This is the only time Ida Lupino ever directed herself.

Writer-producer Collier Young was the then husband of Joan Fontaine and had previously been married to Ida Lupino.

During the Beverly Hills tour of movie star homes, the houses the driver says belong to Jack Benny and James Stewart are their actual homes on Roxbury Drive.

There are several in-jokes about Santa Claus and Kris Kringle in the film, all at the expense of co-star Edmund Gwenn who played Kringle in the film Miracle on 34th Street (1947).

Popular Dialogues

"Tour Bus Driver: Behind that big hedge over there, there's a little man who was Santa Claus to the whole world - Edmund Gwenn."

"Mr. Jordan: I can't figure out my feelings towards you, I despise you, and I pity you. I don't even want to shake your hand, and yet I almost wish you luck."
