This is the first of the Cheetah Girls movies that Raven-Symoné does not star in. She didn't tour with the Cheetah's in 2006-2007 in their "The Party's Just Begun Tour" and is not featured in their first non-soundtrack album, released in 2007. The absence of her character, Galleria Garibaldi, is explained as her being attending University of Cambridge in England.
Raven-Symoné did not appear in this film due to her wanting to focus on her solo album.
During filming for the movie, Rob Kardashian won a trip to India and a camera from his sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian to visit Adrienne Houghton in the sets as she was his girlfriend at the time and he couldn't stand being away from her. The event was featured in a episode of the series Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2007).
The Cheetah Girls celebrate Holi in the film despite it taking place in summer. Holi is celebrated at the end of March and signifies the arrival of Spring.
The scene where the girls walk down a staircase during the "Cheetah Love" sequence at the beginning was difficult for Adrienne Bailon as she felt it hard to walk downstairs wearing her high heeled boots for the scene.
"Dorinda: What is your dad going to say when he finds out you've been wasting precious study time flirting with the nerd patrol?"
"Dorinda: Who would ever think that a girl from New York would be in this beautiful hotel room next to the Indian Ocean? Aqua: The Arabian Sea. [pause] Aqua: Pardon me for ever cracking open a guidebook."
