Gordon Ramsay filmed an episode of his show "Kitchen Nightmares" in a restaurant "Sam's Kebab Room". This restaurant is used in this movie in a couple of scenes.
Trimark greenlit another sequel; The Dentist 3, but was never made. Director Brian Yuzna was too busy starting up Fantastic Factory.
During the filming of the scene the scene where Dr. Feinstone is digging a grave, the producer came to the director and said the home owners didn't want any digging in their garden. So they laid down a piece of plastic with a little bit dirt on it so it would look like he was digging in the garden.
Lee Dawson didn't want to do the nude scene with Jillian McWhirter, so Trimark hired a body double instead.
Several times in the movie there is use of Alan Howarth theme and stinger from Halloween II (1981). Alan Howarth did the music for The Dentist 2 as well as Halloween II.
