TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The second of three movies in which Bruce Willis meets a younger version of himself. The first was 12 Monkeys (1995) and the third would be Looper (2012).

Daniel von Bargen, who plays Russ Duritz's (Bruce Willis) father Sam, is only five years older than Willis.

This was Bruce Willis' first family film. Willis thought it would be fun to do a family film for Disney after realizing how different it was compared to his previous films for them like Armageddon (1998) and because he wanted to star in a film that his daughters, at the time, could watch.

At the wedding, one of the guests is Cuba Gooding, Jr. He is visible for about 10 seconds.

WILHELM SCREAM: While Russ is talking to Amy, someone screams in a movie on television that Rusty is watching.

Popular Dialogues

"Rusty Duritz: So, I'm forty, I'm not married, I don't fly jets, and I don't have a dog? [long pause] Rusty Duritz: I grow up to be a loser."

"Rusty Duritz: How old are you? Russ Duritz: Forty. In a couple days. Rusty Duritz: That is old! I'm turning eight. In a couple days. Russ Duritz: Eight. You're eight. I'm eight. Rusty Duritz: This is scary. Russ Duritz: No. This is hilarious."
