TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The end credits finish with the following words: "dedicated to craig lee (1954-1991) and the hundreds of thousands who've died and the hundreds of thousands more who will die because of a big white house full of republican fuckheads".

Gregg Araki had the opportunity to remaster the film in 2009. This was important to him because it was being shown in universities in history lessons about queer cinema, and most of the universities were showing tired copies on VHS.

Made on a shoestring budget of $20,000.

The title comes from a song by the Jesus and Mary Chain.

Quentin Crisp once called the film "dreadfull" in a letter to playwright Robert Patrick.

Popular Dialogues

"Jon: I'm not going to fondle your crotch right now. Luke: Why not? Jon: Because I'm a responsible driver."

"Jon: All I know is if I don't take a shower and brush my teeth in about two minutes, I'm gonna - I'm gonna fucking kill myself... . I'm a fag, okay? I can't stand being dirty."
