Shot entirely on location on the oil rig "Mr. Charlie".

"Mr. Charlie" is recognized as the first submersible drilling barge rig in the world to drill offshore wells. It is now used as a museum and training facility in Morgan City, Louisiana.

Director Peter Atencio decided to pay homage to the 'Alien' franchise by naming the drilling company 'Weyland drilling Corp' an using a similar logo throughout the film
