This is the third "Smurfs" Christmas special after The Smurfs Christmas Special (1982) and 'Tis the Season to Be Smurfy (1987).
Released as a DVD feature accompanying The Smurfs (2011) and attached to the theatrical release of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (2013).
