TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

There's an uncredited appearance by Kristen Stewart (in her first role) as a girl in the fountain line. Her mother, Jules Stewart, was the script supervisor for the TV movie.

The final shot of Cody fully transformed into a merman and leaping out of the water was done by Chez holding onto a bar like a trapeze and being pulled out of the water. It was done with three supervising scuba divers around for safety in a pool in a studio.

Chez Starbeck's audition process included taking a swim test.

Production costs totaled $5 Million and was reportedly over budget.

Brian Haley and Justin Jon Ross also worked together in Little Giants (1994), though they didn't have any lines together.

Popular Dialogues

"Jess Wheatley: I finally get a friend and he turns into a fish. Typical."

"Jess Wheatley: IF anyone's gonna get beat up here, it's gonna be me, OK? I mean, if you guys start beating each other up, what am I gonna do in between periods? Just not get beat up? How does that fit into my job description?"
