TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The movie made use of a Sydney landmark in an innovative way. New York's "Coney Island" amusement park used to have an attraction within its grounds called "Luna Park". Sydney's amusement park, "Luna Park", is of similar vintage. It has a still-functioning attraction inside its grounds named "Coney Island". Even though the neon-lit facades of each park's rides are quite different, a temporary staging area was placed in front of Luna Park Sydney's main "face" entrance for night-time filming - and the movie's main characters appear that they are inside New York's amusement park, performing in front of an elaborate "Luna Park" attraction.

Epilogue: "Following their triumphant return to the stage, The Three Stooges became one of the most popular--and best paid--live comedy acts in America. Joe DeRita died in 1993. He always said that his years with The Stooges were the best of his life. Larry Fine suffered a stroke in 1970. He died in January 1975 at the age of 72. He remained a free spender up until the end. Moe Howard followed his lifelong friend and partner four months later. His passing marked the end of one of the most durable acts in comic history. In their 24-year career their slapstick escapades, televised around the world, have inspired a generation of comedians. They remain a favorite of all ages."

One of the few productions where Chiklis had a full head of hair. However, the hair seen in this film was merely only a wig. Prior to filming this, Chiklis had begun to lose hair due to a theater makeup mishap.

The film sadly skips over many key moments of the Stooges career, such as Curly joining Larry and Moe with Ted Healy on stage when Shemp decided to bow out due to complications of working with Ted Healy.

Paul Ben-Victor, John Kassir and Michael Chiklis have all been in superhero productions. Paul Ben-Victor was Jose Quesada in Daredevil (2003). John Kassir was Ray Palmer/ The Atom in the unaired Justice League of America pilot (1997). Michael Chiklis was Ben Grimm/ The Thing in Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)

Popular Dialogues

"Larry Fine: [to Moe, about Shemp] Ted Healy scared the piss out of your brother and it landed on me."
