TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The original trailer for the movie, as well as some of the television spots, had the song "Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind. This had to be changed, because the song is about being addicted to crystal meth.

Paul Winchell, the original voice of Tigger, was replaced by Jim Cummings, who had voiced Tigger in several later stories of The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1988). (Although Winchell did provide Tigger's voice for several stories from that series.) The reason given was the seventy-six-year-old's voice was just too scratchy now to properly portray the character. Walt Disney Imagineers heard about this, and insisted on hiring Winchell to provide Tigger's voice for the new "Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" attraction at Walt Disney World. He was, and it's Winchell's voice that is used in the ride.

Originally planned as a direct-to-video release, until Disney Chairman Michael Eisner heard the Sherman Brothers score. Michael Eisner decided to release it theatrically in theaters worldwide.

Jim Cummings' all-time favorite "Winnie the Pooh" movie he ever worked on.

This was the first Disney movie, since Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971), to have songs by former Disney mainstays Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman.
