This film is made up of half the footage shot for Toxic Avenger Part II.
Mark Torgl was offered the chance to return as Melvin, but later declined because of pay issues.
Rick Collins said that during production, three child extras were scared of him in the Devil make up. When he convinced the first two children that it was only make up and even offered for them to feel it, they did and were no longer scared. However, when the third child tried to feel it, he did the Devil's scream and since then, he has admitted he felt bad about doing it.
One scene was filmed inside an actual video store instead of a set.
At 35 minutes, Uncle Lloyd put a sled at Toxie's place with the words Bud-Rose written on it. This is a reference to Citizen Kane (1941), where Orson Well's last words were "Rosebud" in referrnce to his childhood sled. Lloyd Kaufman is famous for his easter eggs in the Troma-verse.
