TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Inside joke: When the Police Inspectors are searching the flat at the beginning, they come across some photographs of the dead woman's boyfriends. One comments to the other that they might recognize some of these men from their own rogues' gallery. He pauses, examines one and says knowingly, "John Mills!" Obviously a tongue-in-cheek reference to a certain fellow actor.

The film's music was composed by the multi-talented John Wooldridge, a composer, playwright, a scientist of a kind and a former bomber-pilot who flew with Guy Gibson during WW2. He was killed in a car-crash in 1958.

Final film of Merle Tottenham.

Opening credits: All the characters depicted in this film are fictitious and any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is not intended, and is coincidental.

Popular Dialogues

"Agnes: You were right Mrs Finch - he has a one-track mind. Mrs. Finch: Yes, and it's a dirt track."

"Supt. Lodge: Polly! Pretty Polly! Pity - the one witness who knows all the answers and he won't talk."
