TRIVIA

Trivia

Dame Joan Collins (Stella) is shown outside a cinema where "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" (1952), starring Gregory Peck, is playing. Joan subsequently co-starred with Gregory in "The Bravados" (1958).

The Coach & Horses pub, seen in the final scene, became famous later on as the bohemian meeting place for the personnel of the satirical magazine, 'Private Eye'; its infamously rude landlord, Norman Balon, appeared in the magazine.

Joan Collins recalls in her biography that the film was shot on actual locations around London in the dead of winter. It was bitter cold and she was fitted out in her usual sleaze. She was blue with cold for most of the time and longingly thought of California where she was getting calls from her agent about her availability.

The copy of the Daily Mirror that a train passenger can be seen reading is from Thursday 4th December 1952.
