TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Every scene takes place at night, with the exception of the intro and a brief scene towards the end of the third segment.

A number of cast members were in Dolph Lundgren movies shot around this time. Christopher Heyerdahl was in both Silent Trigger (1996) and The Peacekeeper (1997) (which also featured Martin Neufeld), Françoise Robertson had a major role in The Minion (1998) and Andrew Jackson appeared in Blackjack (1998).

Jayne Heitmeyer from segment 2 and Jack Langedijk from segment 3 appeared together in Out of Control (1998) shortly afterwards. The film also featured the same composer as Twists of Terror, Alan Reeves.

Actor Martin Neufeld later recalled on his website, "I had always been a fan of Nick Mancuso since his Stingray (1985) days, a show that I enjoyed immensely and watched regularly. So when I found out that I would be working with Nick I was very excited. Because "The Clinic" was pretty much going to be a three hander between Nick, Jayne Heitmeyer and myself. But for some reason, I was extremely nervous on the first day of shooting. I only had small scene that day with Nick, and yet I kept missing my mark. I wasn't getting into my light, I was struggling to remember my dialogue, I was sweating bullets, it was horrible. I felt terrible. And of course the worse I felt the more self conscious I became. And that is death for any actor. Thankfully Nick was really cool about the whole thing. We finally got the scene in the can and then I was fine. The rest of the shoot went extremely well."

Popular Dialogues

"Philip (the host): Nobody's your friend for long, not in the 'out there'."

"Philip (the host): I can't go out there. My parents went into the 'out there', and they never came back. It could happen, even to you. It's dangerous in the 'out there'."
