Story

The film is based on the novella of the same name by Georgy Demidov, a writer who himself was a political prisoner in the Soviet Union.

It premiered in the main competition of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the François Chalais Prize.

The film's German title is 'Zwei Staatsanwälte'.
