30,000 goats and sheep, 5,000 yaks, 350 horses and 50 bactrian camels were used at 15,000 feet altitude during the shoot in the Himalays.
Casting was done in France, UK, Germany, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. 2600 candidates were auditioned.
