TRIVIA

Trivia

"Vesuvius" (together with "Double", "Bad Butt",and "Grave Torture") is part of a short film anthology entitled "Silent Terror", presented by the YOMYOMF Network, putting together four films directed by four of Asia's top horror directors (Erik Matti, Noboru Iguchi, Ming Jin Woo, and Joko Anwar). The short films contain stories influenced by urban legends, local ghost stories, and ancient traditions that make the Asian horror genre a prominent staple in modern cinema, yet translate universally through the horror genre. In making their respective short film, each director was presented the same obstacle: to tell their story with no dialogue.

This was the second major Agatha Christie production by London Weekend Television, following the success of 'Why Didn't They Ask Evans?' in 1980.

The character of Superintendent Battle, who appears in the novel, also features in this adaptation, played by Harry Andrews.

Many of the exterior scenes were filmed at Greenway Estate in Devon, which was Agatha Christie's own holiday home.
