IMDbThe film is excellently written and executed with a lot of entertaining elements. The original Tamil movie is a masterpiece and the Bollywood remake does justice to it. The storyline is deep and contains plenty of twists. There is suspense and action, also the series of events take place in a systematic way. The performance of Hrithik Roshan is commendable and the supporting actors too have done a great job. The movie has impactful background music and impressive shoot locations along with well-directed action scenes. The film retains the essence of Bollywood and keeps the audience entertained throughout. Saif Ali Khan also manages to make his mark in everything he does and the choice of actors for the film is well-suited. The plot twists manage to keep the audience engrossed and the action keeps them on edge. All in all, everybody likes a good chase full of drama and thrill.

Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi met for the 1st time on the sets of Vikram Vedha. It was a deliberate move to retain the play between them on their very first interaction scene.
More than 3000 bullets (blanks, specifically used for cinema) were fired on the sets.
Madhavan's character Vikram shoots twice for every kill; that's his signature style.
The guns used by the cops in the film are authentic pistols issued to Tamil Nadu police force.
Director duo Pushkar and Gayatri, after choosing the Vikramaaditya-Vetala structure for the film, considered various settings like politics, business, journalism, etc to fit the construct before settling on cop-gangster world.
