Violet Evergarden: Recollections Review

This is a tale about love and the different interpretations of meaning that can be made of it. Its essence is a quest for meaning that many of us, as grown adults, are still trying to completely comprehend. It's a special sadness to see Violet transition from a little child who had a friend by her side every day to a lonely adult who is looking for the one person she treasured and trying to comprehend what might have been his last words ever. From the very first phrase of the film, Erika Harlacher introduces Violet with a particular sweetness. Due to the nature of her character, even though she is the main character, she typically has less words than other, chattier characters in the plot. Nevertheless, Harlacher makes every minute count. This condensed version is a heartfelt and heartwarming experience. This film is beautiful and should definitely be streamed by all.
