Sir Lancelot and Darby Jones virtually repeated the same roles they had created in RKO's very successful 1943 venture, I Walked with a Zombie (1943). Both are set on the same fictional Caribbean island of San Sebastian.
The jungle scenes were filmed on the sets used for RKO's Tarzan series.
