HCL's latest release brings plenty of valuable features like good storage space, sufficient connectivity options and the new Android Jelly Bean.

Excellent processing could have been achieved with 1GB of RAM. Still, unless heavy processing is required, RAM shortfall should not occur. All in all, the U3 is a great device for  those seeking a tablet with good features in the budget segment.

HCL's latest tablet offering, the U3, comes with 7 inches of WVGA ( 480 x 800 pixels resolution) TFT display for clear and crisp visuals. The U3 has been provided with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which can run the latest apps. To ensure fast processing, HCL has provided a 1000MHz processor with 512MB RAM. Gamers can rely on the Mali-400 GPU for decent graphics.

For those looking to video chat, the tablet comes with 2MP of front camera. Storage of files, be they vital documents or your favorite films, is made easy by the 4GB internal space, expandable using microSD card up to 32GB. Completing this attractive package are the connectivity options, which include 3G (using appropriate USB dongle), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB. The device runs on a 3100mAh Li-ion battery.
