The HP Chromebook 14-x006tu (K5B40PA) is primarily for low-end users who need laptops for daily use like working on writing and editing. The lightweight and compact size if perfect for students too. However, the storage capacity is very limited; so, one might feel the need of an external hard drive.

An excellent notebook for daily use

Display and Design

The HP Chromebook 14-x006tu (K5B40PA) arrives with a 14-inch anti-glare WLED-backlit display with a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The notebook measures 17.8mm around the waist and weighs 1.6kgs. The Chromebook is available in White colour with Orange borders and looks stylish.

Configuration and OS

The notebook is powered by NVIDIA Tegra K1 quad-core CD570M-A1 processor coupled with 4GB RAM which collaborate to give a lag free experience while multitasking. The 4GB RAM can further be expanded up to 8GB by 2 DIMM slots. The system runs Google Chrome operating system out of the box.

Battery and Connectivity

The Chromebook from HP is backed by a 3 cell li-po battery which comes along with 65 W AC Adapter. The networking and connectivity features include 2 USB 2.0 slots, 1 USB 3.0 slots an HDMI out, Bluetooth and Wifi. There is a Digital media card reader slot as well. 

Storage and Multimedia

The HP Chromebook 14-x006tu houses a limited internal memory of 16GB SSD, so the users might feel the need to carry an external storage device. The notebook is equipped with a Webcam and inbuilt microphone which is suitable for video calling. It comes with dual stereo speakers that deliver high definition quality sound. It has a standard Full-size island-style keyboard.
