Let's tackle this one at a time:nnDisplay: nMatte finished full HD (1920x1080) 15.6 inch display does what it says. Full brightness is optimal for normal usage conditions. Under the sun visibility is restrictive but I wouldn't take chances with putting a laptop under direct sunlight. nnCPU: nThe quad core 2.2 GHz processor works fine for heavy processing (including gaming) tasks and handles multiple threads quite well. The CPU usage usually stays below 20% of full capacity on daily usage but the much needed boost to 2.5GHz kicks in when you start gaming.nnGPU:nThe system comes with 2 GPUs. R5 M330 is the primary integrated adapter which consumes negligible power while R7 M360 is the high performance, power hungry adapter. AMD Catalyst Control Centre software allows you to assign GPU of your choice to a particular process. It sets the defaults for the GPU usage accordingly if you do not wish to manually do it yourself. nR5 M330 is definitely inferior to Intel HD 5500 integrated GPU that comes with the i5 generation 5 chips but then even the A8-7410 is slightly less powerful than the i5 5th gen.nnR7 M360 runs comparable to an Nvidia GT 920M. I have personally tested a few games: FarCry 4, Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Ace Combat Assault Horizon.nThe GPU is able to render FC4 in high settings at about 30-40 FPS after tinkering with the AA, Tessellation and Filtering properties in the Catalyst Centre. NOTE: FarCry 4 has poor AMD support and you should expect the game to eventually crash.nAssassin's Creed is heavy on environment variables and rendering the world tasks the GPU heavily therefore, one should not expect beyond medium at best.nnPorts: nThe HDMI port works well and renders true colours without any loss in colour reproduction.nTwo of the USB ports (On DVD tray side) are inexplicably too close to each other. Using a standard width USB drive will render one of them unusable. nnDVD tray feels good to use and I've not had any issues with it.nnInput:nKeyboard feels tacky to use. This may be partly due to the reason that I migrated from a mechanical desktop keyboard to laptop but there is definitely a plastic feel to it.nnThe buttons on the trackpad are not designated with visual cues but you'll get the hang of it soon (unless you like desktop mice).nnWebcam quality is poor but manageable.nnBody:nThe overall build is plastic and feels a bit fragile to carry loose but the contacts are hinged well.nnHeating:nAMD is infamous for its power hungry, overheating CPU chipsets and this one is no different. My CPU has hit 92 degree Celsius and reaches well above 75 degrees within 10-15 minutes of running image processors or games. Fans self adjust according to the system temperature but at peak usage, the internal fan cooling keeps it just under. nEven during daily usage, the laptop feels warm to use.nOverheating has not shut my system down yet but to be on the safe side, keep the room fan/AC on when running heavy processes.nnBattery:nBattery runs a good stretch before dying out but do not expect 4-5 hours when gaming. The best I managed was ~3 hours when gaming.nnSoftware:nThe system comes preloaded with Windows 8.1 64-bit upgradable to Windows 10 Home Single Language. On upgrade, your system hardware ID is stored in Microsoft server so in case your OS is wiped out, you can use the Windows 10 ISO (correct edition) to reset your laptop without losing your licence.nHP loads its own apps (support, dropbox 25GB for 6 months-dropbox may have been a festival offer and full time offer so check before you buy- etc) which are a good add-on.nnPrice point:nFor the price, AMD packs a lot of power into the system and the price is justified by the real world performance that the laptop delivers. It is a five star worthy product but the heating makes it a slightly less appealing option.

Amazing laptop for its price
27 Sep 2015 By Sanchit On flipkart.com

I bought this laptop a few weeks ago , I thought i should review it on FKart as it had 0 reviews when i was searching for it here. nnPROS :n1) Amazing hardware specs : 1 TB HDD , 8 GB RAM , Radeon R7 M360 and AMD A8 7410 ..... These are the best specs you get get on a dell/hp laptop under 40kn2) Win 8.1 preinstalled + HP bag comes with the laptop , Which saved me a lot of timen3) Full HD 1080p screen which has decent brightness and colours look richn4) It can run new games at low settings and 2-3 year old games run fine on Medium to High settings at HD resolutionn Bioshock Infinite : 20-25 fps at High settings and 1080p resolutionn AC4 Black Flag : 25 fps at Medium settings and 1080p resolutionn Saints Row 4 : 1st mission got around 22-25 fps at medium settings , 1080pn Castlevania 2 : Around 30 fps at Medium settings and 1080p resolution . It n lags a bit at startup n You can get playable fps if you bring the resolution down to 720p n5) Audio of the Laptop is really superb . I mean itn6) 2 USB 3.0 Ports - Its a big plus for men7) Metallic grey body has a premium feel to it and looks good . n8) Laptop is 2 kg , neither too heavy , nor too lightnnnCONS : ( To be honest nothing much bad about the laptop in particular , everything i have mentioned here could just be the problems with my piece , and some disadvantages are present in all laptops in general :P )nn1) The DVD drive is a bit loose in my laptop and when i hold the laptop is feels uneasy in my hands because of this. Also the laptop hinge rattles if you shake the laptop in your hands. The screen and the body are not tightly bound - I dont think i can explain it here , but when you hold it in your hands , you will know at once what i mean . Even though the laptop looks strong and sturdy , i doubt the screen will survive more than a light bump . I can literally squeeze the top part of the laptop's body near the webcam.n2) The keyboard keys have lot of gap and have quite a lot space to allow dust to enter the body. This will eventually cause trouble , so i suggest you to get a keyboard cover soon after purchase . The keys are not sturdy , the real turn off for me about this laptop is primarily the keyboard . The keys get make clickity sounds and the keyboard as a whole is very fragile . PLEASE DO NOT PLAY GAMES ON IT .n2) Laptop heats up a lot very soon when i start playing games on it , although it has never shut down because i rarely play more than 30-40 minutes . I would suggest investing in a cooling pad after purchase .n3) This godforsaken mousepad is having moodswings all the time , and lags out sometimes ( It doesnt matter much to me as i always use my normal mouse with it )n4) The stock hp apps are cancerous :|n5) All ports were tight , in the first week i had lots of trouble fitting mouse and pendrives in the ports ( :P I guess they will 'loosen' up with use :P )n6) Webcam is shitty ( I dont care , but i think many people do )n7) I cannot figure out how to fix the errors i am getting when i try to search for system updates .nnnOverall i think Buying it was worth it , as the Cons are pretty minor . You are getting what you are paying for , and most issues are not even relevant to most people and others can be fixed by spending some money on accessories . nn8.5/10 ^^
