The HP 15-g009AX (G8D85PA) Notebook is a low range laptop for budgeters but is packed with a host of features which will leave you surprised. It is a great package for gamers and supports features like an 8X optical drive, a touchpad supporting 8 different gestures, a HD webcam and a massive hard disk. In order to account for the price, it has a mediocre processor and lacks any preloaded OS.

The HP 15-g009AX (G8D85PA) Notebook sports a 15.6-inch HD Brightview LED backlit Widescreen display posing pictures and videos at a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It is wrapped in a classy sparkling black outfit which looks quite eye catchy but can get affected by dust, fingerprints and scratches easily. It scores well in terms of portability with a thickness of 25.4 mm and a weight of 2.23 kg.

 

Processor and OS

 

At the heart of the device, there is a 2.4GHz APU Quad Core A8-6410 processor working in combination with a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM operating at 1600 MHz. For better performance, you can use the lone user accessible memory slot to expand the RAM's capacity up to 8GB. It is capable of handling rich games and movies without much lag thanks to the 2GB AMD Radeon HD 8570M graphics card. It runs on DOS which normal considering the price.

It has dual speakers which provide HD Audio Solution.

 

While the full size textured island style keyboard has a numeric keypad that helps in entering data quickly, the touchpad has the ability to support 8 different multi touch gestures.
