The HP Pavilion 15-r279tu (M4X54PA) is perfectly suited for carrying out daily tasks. It comes with quite good configuration and wide screen which is good for watching movies and playing games. The major drawback is the absence of Windows operating system, but keeping that aside it could be a good option to consider.

Display and Design

The HP Pavilion 15-r279tu (M4X54PA) arrives with 15.6-inch diagonal HD BrightView WLED-backlit display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels which results rich and vivid pictures. The laptop weighs 2.2 kilogram and has a waistline of 25.3mm. It sports a black smooth plastic body. 

Configuration and OS

The laptop derives its power from 1.7GHz Intel Core i3-4005U processor paired with 4GB RAM which combine to deliver lag free experience while switching to different tasks on different applications. In addition, it comes with Intel HD Graphics 4400 which enhances the gaming experience. The HP Pavilion 15-r279tu comes with 64 bit DOS operating system. 

Camera, Storage and Multimedia

The laptop is stacked with an HP TrueVision Webcam at the front and an inbuilt microphone which is perfect for video calls. The HP Pavilion 15-r279tu has a storage capacity of 500GB which is spacious enough to store important files. The system also has good multimedia features which include 2 x stereo speakers with HD audio solution, SuperMulti optical drive and full-size island style keypad. The touchpad comes with multi-touch gesture support.
