I am writing this review using the same laptop that is featured above. the lappy is a good everyday companion when I am not on my desktop. the battery life is pretty good for a basic laptop. the only thing that I upgraded was increased the ram from 2 gb to 6 gb, I used corsair branded ram, I feel corsairs are better than transcend. Yes you are stuck with blue colour but its okay its not that bad looking my sister found it to be a bit gaudy but i loved it. The colour masks the fingerprint imprints. yes it has glossy finished screen which loves to reflect your face but thats not distracting when you are indoor. The screen brightness is good. the laptop is quiet heavy but its quiet large as well tethers on the verge of being bulky. the best thing about the lappy is the keyboard. the keys are well spaced and the tactile feedback is good. the palm rest is also quiet broad and it has a set of dedicated numeric keys for the number crunching needs. it has bluetooth, hdmi and usb3.0 at this price point which is great. the hinges on this machine are good they will last a long time before they develop any play. this laptop is okay for playing regular flash games I am not in to hardcore gaming so it was not a very important feature for me to worry about but the windows index has rated this machine with 6.4 points when it came to gaming so i guess you may be able to play some graphic intensive games. the sound quality is better than my earlier laptops this has some dolby advance audio v2 engine I dunno but the sound is pretty loud to fill the room though with no bass. what amazes me is how fast the computer starts when you flip open the lid. super quick. also this system comes with dos and there is no bloatware that systems like vaio and dell come with . also the mouse is also very responsive and it also recognizes gestures pinch to zoom works on my machine. the laptop does not overheat and the fan operates in a super silent mode I know this cause I used this machine for 7 hours straight. This laptop is heavy, this is a mans laptop rugged no nonsense machine, if you are looking for qualities like slim and trim, lightweight razor sharp lookers look somewhere else. I intend to use this laptop for another 3 to 4 years an i am confident that it will last a lot longer then my expectation. buy it you wont regret your decision. lenovo is the world's largest laptop manufacturer so spares wont be a problem and if any component conks off it will be repairable at a reasonable price. about flipkart service well it took longer than expected I guess they have spoil me with their delivery before due date practice, this time they took the whole 10 days before I received the product. I would have given it 5 stars if there were more colour options and the weighed a little lighternnnn3/1/13 update: the bag provided along with the laptop just make sure the straps are properly stitched. Of the 11 days that I have the laptop with me I used the backpack for just 2 days and the left shoulder strap shows signs of getting ripped off. I haven't abused the backpack or used it for extended time. but as they say it at flipkart its regular wear and tear and freebies do not come with any warranties. Battery life is almost 4 hrs 35 minutes in power saving mode, working on excel and word.nnnOne more thing the laptop has a power saving feature in which the dvd drive just vanishes from the my computer it won't show up even in the the device manager. It does show it self in the registries but you are not able to see any upper filter or lower filter values in the registries. Been on lenovo forum another member has the same issue with the same product.nI also placed an order for protecta sleeve and its a really good product to store your laptop in, to save it from dust accumulationnnanother update on 12/12/13nnnow having used this laptop for almost a year I am thoroughly pleased with my buying decision. have used this laptop for 8 hours straight and no problems so far. there is no heating issue or fan noise. the battery back up is still about four hours even after so many charge cycles. I love this machine. also the dvd drive shows up once you open the tray and I have no more issues with it
Average Product but the key pad has gone bad in few months which is very bad
