I bought this notebook from HP and i regret a lot. I got a dead laptop in first place. after chasing for over a month I got a replacement. this one had problems worst than previous one. Its over 2 months that I am stuck with this bad piece of hardware. HP has agreed for a refund. HP dont have a faith in there of laptop. How can consumer buy it.
Hi, I brought this a week ago from a nearby store. Firstly at the time I bought I found that it's not easy to find Probooks on Normal Stores after a bit of searching and finding I booked this laptop from a nearby store. Pros: 1)Nice Sturdy looks 2)Great Keyboard 3)I5 3rd Gen processor 4)500GB 7200 RPM Hard disk from Hitachi. 5)Multitasks with ease. 6)Very clear HD webcam which works in Low light pretty fine. 7)The Machine is absolutely Quiet. 8)The speakers are crystal clear. CONS: 1)No Pre-installed version of Windows. 2)HP's drivers can be awful, it gave me a hard time installing the correct Finger print driver and the software. Do not try DIGITAL PERSON and other stuff available Try installing only HP Protect tools the .NET 3.4 framework should be installed before hand for this I got it to work once but still the installation had a few glitches and a few components didn't install properly. HP driver updates can be useful so one should consider using Original version of Windows. I have Windows 8. It's going pretty much smooth till now apart form the finger print driver software thing. 3)The battery back up is nearly 4 hours working with browsers and video players and stuff. Not 7 or 6 watever is mentioned int he specs. Overall if you are a Software engineer of any kind you would love it as you don't have to worry about installing windows and drivers and stuff and the notebook looks tempting enough to make you still open up eclipse and start coding :-P Below is the Windows Experience Index on Windows 8 with lowest sub score 4.8 which is appreciable! ------------------ -------------------------------------------------------------- Component Details SubScore -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz 7.1 Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB 5.9 Graphics Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 4.8 Gaming graphics 1732 MB Total available graphics memory 6.2 Primary hard disk 324GB Free (355GB Total) 5.9
