The HP ProBook 640 G1 (E7N16PA) carries a 14-inch HD LED backlit SVA flat display with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The matte anti glare finish on the top provides clear outdoor visibility. It is housed in a silver-black coloured outfit which has a thickness of 25.3mm and a weight of 2.0kg.

CPU and Platform

Doing duty under the hood is a 2.5GHz Intel Core i5 processor from the fourth generation and based on HM87 Express chipset. It gets assistance from a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM which is further expandable up to 16GB via two SODIMM slots. The inbuilt Intel HD 4600 GPU takes care of rich games and videos. The HP ProBook 640 G1 (E7N16PA) sails on 64 bit Windows 7 Professional OS.

Camera, Storage and Multimedia

Armed with a HD webcam and dual array digital microphone, the device provides clear and noise free video calls. It carries a 320GB SATA hard disk which operates at 7,200rpm and provides superior response but may fall short in the end. The SuperMulti DVD RW Drive with DL support can be used for exchanging data via disks.

Battery and Connectivity

The HP ProBook 640 G1 (E7N16PA) is fuelled by a 6 cell Li-ion battery which is rated to deliver continuous service for up to 14 hours.
