Well, I knew while ordering that it is not a Nexus7 and never expected it to perform in that class. My intended purpose was light browsing, reading PDFs and e-books. It fails to deliver even on those parameters.nnnPros -n1. Built quality - well built for it's price with a metal backn2. Pretty responsive for normal browsing or readingnnnCons -n1. The display spoils the deal. it's of 1024x600 px (effectively 976x600 px) at 160 dpi. Text rendering is not smooth at all. Fonts are minuscule, lighter than normal and appear jagged with fuzzy edges. Reading on it even for a few minutes is strenuous on the eye.nnThe only way for fonts to appear smooth and readable is to change the font size to large or extra large in settings. But then it becomes too large to be likable.nn2. The speaker is tinny. Dumb phones ten years back had better sound output.nn3. Battery lasts a little over 4 hours on about 25% brightness and connected to wi-fi while browsing or reading.nnI really tried to like this tablet as it is by HP, suited my needs and is priced well. However, I would now prefer to put in a bit more and go for something better.nnn****UPDATE 24/08/2014****n1. Flipkart shamelessly advertises this tab as "Flipkart Exclusive" by using images of HP "Slate" 7 Plus instead of actual HP 7 Plus with white bezel and silver back.nn2. Trying to return this tab since last 10 days. Every time I am told that the all powerful technical team would call me back to gauge the validity of my return request. There is no way for ME to get connected to them through customer care or call them directly!!!nn3.This is hilarious!!!! FLIPKART'S OWN APP WON'T INSTALL IN THIS TAB - as well as other apps such as TOI, ET, etc. I get a message "Your device is not compatible with this version of the app".
Touch doesn't work properly, Worst Camera..nnEven my samsung galaxy young phone works better than this tablet
