HP's latest offering comes with a number of excellent features including a good display, great configuration, decent internal storage and good multimedia options. The same could be said of connectivity options had it not been for the lack of USB(3.0) ports. That aside, however, the device's features are sufficient for anyone seeking a budget laptop that performs.
Design and Display
HPÃ¢ÂÂs new laptop comes in a very professional looking charcoal grey casing. For easy input, a premium standard keyboard has been provided, along with a touch pad which supports multi-touch gestures and has power buttons for easy accessibility. The deviceÃ¢ÂÂs display is a large 14 inches of HD (1366 x 768 pixels resolution) LED, with Brightview and LED backlighting, for a visual experience thatÃ¢ÂÂs as comfortable as it is beautiful.
Processor and OS
The CQ43-406AU comes with the power of a 1.3GHz AMD Dual Core processor, which is coupled with 2GB of RAM for a smooth performance. Gamers can rely on the AMD Radeon HD 6310 GPU for excellent rendering of graphics. DOS is the default OS of this device.
Camera, Storage, Multimedia
The device comes with a 0.3MP webcam which allows for video chatting, Skype, etc. The 320GB HDD is sufficient for storing all of oneÃ¢ÂÂs important files and favorite multimedia. The device gives great audio output thanks to the HD Audio solution and Altec Lansing speakers that HP provides this device with.
Connectivity and Battery
Sufficient connectivity options have been provided on the device, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI and USB [ 2x USB (2.0) ports] connectivity. The device is powered by a 6-cell Li-ion battery which is capable of giving power backup of up to four hours.
