HP Pavilion x360 13-u112TU (Y8J06PA) Laptop (Core i5 7th Gen/8 GB/1 TB/Windows 10)

Since this laptop is new in Flipkart and many people out there must be waiting for some review so I felt that it's my duty to give an honest review of this product since I have ordered this product on the very first day of its arrival at flipkart. First of all thanks to flipkart for the exchange offer that they have provided to me on big billion day and they have delivered the product on time. Coming to the product, I am a very tech savvy guy and do proper research before buying any electronics. So for buying the laptop as well I did research for month. I considered HP, LENOVO, DELL. Don't be fooled by just going with the specs sheet. Some Lenovo laptops are offering you the same specs at lower prices but check the version of processor and ram. This laptop have everything latest. Core i5 7th generation (launched this month itself) 8gb ram that too is (DDR4 which is 2100mhz as compared to DDR3 which is clocked at around 1600mhz) Intel HD graphics 620 (which is again latest as compared to the old 520) Now talking about the performance :- Since the specs says it all but believe me this machine is just awesome. The display is good (1080p full HD,) , the touch screen is really very handy and very useful. The four modes that are the main USP of this model is not just for advertising, it's really useful in real world scenarios. The laptop don't feel heavy and battery backup lasts for 6 hours on normal usage surfing Internet etc. Sound quality is also very good. I went to an HP store as well to compare it with another non touch pavilion model with 15.6 inch screen and dedicated 2gb graphic card . But the display quality of this x360 version is way better. The reason is this is having IPS touch screen, where as other non touch models provide you non IPS displays. There is a huge difference that anyone can point. So display is a very big plus point here. I don't play games so can't comment on that. I am a photographer and my main work is to edit the photos in photoshop and Lightroom. Since photoshop and Lightroom are very heavy softwares and still this core i5 7th generation handles it very well. My Lightroom and photoshop works like charms, flawlessly. Editing raw images are also very smooth, no lags, no hangs. I have no complaints for it. I would suggest this to anyone whose budget is this much and needs a solid future proof laptop with good looks and versatility.

I bought this laptop during Flipkart's Big Billion Day sale when there was huge exchange offer plus credit card offer, so go it damn cheap. I'm a doctor so may not give a very technically sound review but I'll definitely give a practical one. I wanted to run my medical software, a very heavy one (I don't know the technical word for it but it is heavy on RAM as running it usually slows down any average laptop), on this machine which I'm already running on my MacBook Pro with i7/2.7GHz/4GB and Dell i7/2GHz/8GB laptop. Though my dell laptop runs smoothly but my MacBook hangs a lot. My budget was not so high so had to settle for i5 for my 3rd laptop but to my utter surprise this laptop runs smoothly. It has easily overtaken my MacBook on performance. As specifications suggest it is real light and comfortable to carry. I'm definitely happy and satisfied with my buy. It was a great deal in deed.
