LG Micro RGB evo and Mini RGB evo: new LCD technology tier
LG is adding two new LCD technologies to its 2026 India lineup. The Micro RGB evo MRGB96 utilises LG’s proprietary Micro RGB backlighting along with the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3. As per the brand, it helps achieve triple 100% colour coverage across BT.2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB color spaces. And all of this is certified by Intertek and verified by TÜV Rheinland’s High Purity RGB Spectrum Display certification.

The Mini RGB evo MRGB85 employs Tandem LED technology with the Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen3. It helps provide double 100% colour coverage, along with TÜV Rheinland certification.

LG is betting that India’s premium TV upgrade cycle is driven by screen size and picture technology, rather than just price sensitivity. The 25 ultra-large models across four display technologies give LG a strong response to all buyer profiles in that segment. From enthusiasts seeking the best OLED experience to mainstream consumers in search of a large Mini LED panel at a more affordable price.

The introduction of Micro RGB evo and Mini RGB evo as separate product tiers is also significant. LG is expanding its LCD premium tier with proprietary backlighting technology that competes with OLED in colour accuracy and contrast.
For most buyers, the QNED evo Mini LED range offers the strongest value in large panel sizes. Precision Dimming and Motion Booster at prices well below OLED. Meanwhile, the OLED evo C6 is the pick for buyers who want cinematic picture quality and gaming performance in a balanced package. And the G6 suits those who want the brightest OLED available and are willing to pay for it.
