For most buyers, the choice between these GPUs will come down to the resolution they plan to play at. The RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti make more sense for 1440p gaming, while the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 are better suited to users looking to play at 4K with higher graphics settings and frame rates. This makes the 70-series cards a more practical upgrade for someone with a 1440p monitor, rather than spending more on hardware that may not be fully utilised.

The INFINITY series uses GIGABYTE’s WINDFORCE HYPERBURST cooling system, which features a double flow-through design that allows air to pass through both sides of the graphics card. It is paired with the company’s patented Hawk fans, which GIGABYTE claims can increase air pressure by up to 53.6 percent and air volume by up to 12.5 percent.

There is also an intelligent Overdrive Fan positioned at the centre of the card. It automatically activates under intensive workloads to provide additional airflow when required. For users who spend long periods gaming or running demanding workloads, this should help the cards maintain stable performance without relying entirely on higher fan speeds.

GIGABYTE has also focused on the physical design of the cards. The power connector has been moved to the rear, allowing users to route the cable behind the chassis for a cleaner-looking build. A magnetic cover hides the connector, further reducing visible cables.

The cards also feature RGB Halo lighting and an outer light ring, which can be customised and synchronised with other compatible hardware. This should appeal to users who put as much emphasis on the appearance of their PC as they do on the hardware inside it.

GIGABYTE is also introducing the AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY WOOD, which adds wood-grain elements to the graphics card. It is designed to complement GIGABYTE’s WOOD-themed motherboard lineup and offers an alternative for users looking to build something different from the usual RGB-heavy gaming PC.
