Honor 600 and 600 Pro launches globally with a 6.5-inch display, 7,000mAh battery, and more
Honor 600 series has made its global debut with two phones from the lineup, launching in Malaysia. The lineup includes the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro. Both phones look similar and offer largely the same specifications, but understandably, the Pro model has better hardware in some areas. These include the camera setup and chipset. These aren’t flagship phones, but sit more in the sub-flagship and upper mid-range segments. Honor has yet to reveal if the 600 series will make it to India or not.

Honor 600, 600 Pro pricing and availability
The standard Honor 600 starts at RM 2,599 (Rs 61,500 approx) for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Honor 600 Pro has a starting price of RM 3,099 (Rs 73,400 approx) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant, and it comes in another configuration. Both phones will be available to purchase in Malaysia starting April 30th.

Both the Honor 600 and 600 Pro feature a 6.57-inch (1264 x 2728 pixels) 1.5K OLED display with up to 8,000 nits peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. This display size makes the Honor 600 feel somewhat compact and not too large. Chipset is where the two phones differ. The Honor 600 is powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the Honor 600 Pro gets the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which is a general flagship SoC. This suggests a clear performance difference between the two, where the Pro would be more capable of handling intensive tasks than the standard Honor 600.

The Honor 600 series features a 200MP primary camera with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a macro option. There’s a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom on the Honor 600 Pro, while the Honor 600 supports up to 30x digital zoom, but doesn’t offer the hardware. For selfies, both phones feature a 50MP front camera. The Pro model is more versatile and stronger for portraits and zoom shots, which is lacking on the Honor 600. Telephoto lens have become a necessary requirement, especially in the premium segment.
It’s a 7,000mAh battery with 80W SuperCharge fast charging support and 27W reverse charging on both phones. The Honor 600 Pro gets 50W SuperCharge wireless charging support too. This battery capacity has become standard among phones across all segments now and should deliver more than a day’s power easily.
As for the rest of the specs, the Honor 600 Pro has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, while the Honor 600 gets an optical sensor. On the software front, both phones run Android 16-based MagicOS 10.0 out of the box, and come with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. In comparison to the outgoing Honor 500 series, the new models offer a refreshed design and faster chipsets. Interestingly, the battery capacity has dropped from 8,000mAh to 7,000mAh, which could be to preserve costs.
The Honor 600 and 600 Pro are premium offerings, with the latter offering a flagship-like experience. Both phones come with hardware and features suitable for their respective segments, but alternatives are offering bigger batteries or better sensors. But the Honor 600 series appears to offer a more well-packaged experience with a focus on design as well.
If you want a phone that’s not too large and don’t want to spend a premium, then the Honor 600 Pro can be recommended. Even though the Snapdragon 8 Elite is a generation old, it’s still as fast as the newer generations. As for the Honor 600, it’s an affordable alternative, which should deliver a similar experience but with no telephoto lens and a slightly slower chipset. While you can go ahead and buy the Honor 600 series, it would still be wise to compare it with rivals and see where you’re getting the best value. As for Honor 500 users, you might want to skip upgrading, unless you want faster performance.
