Honor X70 launches as the first commercial phone with an 8,300mAh battery

Highlights

Honor X70 is now official as the first commercial phone with a mammoth 8,300mAh battery. This is even bigger than the Honor Power’s 8,000mAh battery. Both phones are, however, available only in China for now. There’s no word of a global launch yet, and it’s also not clear if Honor will bring the X70 to India. The Honor X70, among other things, seems to be a battery-centric phone aimed at power users who don’t want to reach for a charger often.

The 8,300mAh silicon battery with 80W fast charging support is said to deliver 15.6 hours of continuous screen-on time, 15.6 hours of nonstop navigation, and 27 hours of short video playback on a single charge. So, one thing the Honor X70 will do exceptionally well is the battery department. The 12GB+512GB variant comes with 80W wireless charging as well. This is the top model and the most expensive one, priced at CNY 1,999 (Rs 24,000 approx). Honor claims the X70 offers long-lasting battery health, promising up to 6 years of reliable battery performance.
