HTC Tattoo Review

The HTC tattoo is one of the most versatile handsets launched recently and available in the Indian market. This eye catching mobile phone is loaded with Google’s mobile operating system – Android OS v1.6. The mobile outer shell looks different among the other Android phones and this is the low cost mobile available in the market loaded with Android OS. The tattoo has identical dimensions of 106 x 55.2 x 14 mm and weighted 113 grams. The HTC Tattoo is a Quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 handset. The mobile features captivating 2.8 inch screen has a display resolution of 240x 320 pixels. Comparing to other android phones this phone has a small screen. This is wrapped with the colors Brown, White, Graphite, Black, and Violet. HTC has recently started a dedicated service that allows HTC Tattoo owner to unleash their creative thinking and come up with their unique designs. They can customize their tattoos on the back shell. HTC_Tattoo It is a very personalized handset loaded with twitter, face book, Android market etc. The Android Market enables you to download a whole lot of free content from games to social networking applications etc. Along with the speaker in the rear side, there is a 3.2 megapixel camera on the rear side and lacks autofocus and flash light which is unimpressive and very less expected. The image quality is good and the captured images can be tagged using A-GPS feature. Below the front screen, there is the navigation key, call key, end key, menu key, back key and the home key, these are usual among the android phones. The end key can be used to lock the screen and change the profile modes. The volume keys are placed on the left side, mini USB port and microphone on the bottom, and a 3.5mm audio jack on the top. The microSD card slot is placed beneath the rear cover which supports up to 32GB. It is easy to swap the cards, since it is not require the battery to be removed to access the card.  The audio player supports various audio formats and the audio quality is impressive. HTC-Tattoo The home screen has a location based digital clock and the HTC Sense UI is easy to use. Tattoo has an A-GPS and can easily map a location with the Google maps and other applications. The three screens on the right-side of the home screen are dedicated to your favorite phone numbers, web bookmarks. Tattoo has a QWERTY keypad which allows the text lovers to message faster, but they may make mistake or take a long time in portrait view. There is an accelerometer sensor for auto rotate. While using a phone book or calling someone, the user can either use the phone number or he can type the contact name. The phone is featured with Bluetooth v2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, EDGE, and GPRS etc allows the user to sync the data and access the internet as well. The Android OS allows the users to stay connected with cool stuff like Google talk, YouTube and some other pre loaded widgets and the browser supports the flash content too. The Indian version of the Tattoo does not support 3G or HSDPA which is weird. The battery gives a good performance of up to 6h 30 mins of talk time and 340h of standby time. On the whole, the Sense UI is properly optimized to perform the interface faster.
