Highlights
  • iQOO 15 gets a new colour variant in India.
  • This design stands out from the other two existing colour variants.
  • Pre-booking for the iQOO 15 Apex starts today.

The iQOO 15 launched in India last November as part of the new wave of Android flagships. It’s priced at Rs 72,999 and comes in Legend (white) and Alpha (black) colours. iQOO has now launched a new colour variant for the iQOO 15 in India, and what appears to be a special one based on its design. This could help the iQOO 15 stand out from other flagships, especially in terms of design, while also keeping it relevant a few months after launch. The new iQOO 15 Apex variant is now available to pre-book in India and will go on sale next week.

The iQOO 15 Apex variant was already available in China at launch and has now made its way to India. The design appears to highlight cloud patterns with the colour shifting from different angles. It’s unique and different from the other two colour variants, and one that definitely stands out even among other phones.

iQOO 15 Apex variant price, pre-booking details

The iQOO 15 Apex variant is priced at Rs 72,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256B storage. The 16GB + 512GB variant is priced at Rs 79,999. This is the same price as the other two colour variants, so no surprises here. What’s interesting, though, are the pre-booking offers. There’s a flat discount of Rs 6,000 on select bank cards, bringing the price further down to Rs 66,999. Those who pre-book will also get a free iQOO TWS worth Rs 1,899.

The iQOO 15 Apex will go on sale from April 6th, 12 pm onwards via iQOO.in, Amazon.in, vivo exclusive stores, Reliance Digital Stores, and select retail stores.

iQOO 15 specifications

In terms of specifications, the iQOO 15 features a 6.85-inch Samsung 2K M14 Lead OLED display with an adaptive 144Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with an 8,000mm2 cooling system for heat dissipation. It packs a large 7,000mAh battery with 100W FlashCharge and wireless charging support. The handset has a triple camera setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. On the software front, it runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 with 5 OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates.

These specifications are on par with most of the flagships in the same segment. But there are phones like the OnePlus 15 that offer a 165Hz display and a slightly bigger 7,300mAh battery. Still, the difference shouldn’t be too visible in day-to-day usage.

The iQOO 15 stands out for its bright display, solid performance, excellent thermals, and good cameras. The handset also offers reliable battery life for everyday use. This makes the phone a good choice for a flagship option that excels in display quality, gaming, intensive performance, heat dissipation and battery reliance. So if you’re in the market for a new flagship phone, the iQOO 15 makes very good sense, especially with the pre-order offer of a Rs 6,000 discount.
