The iQOO Z11 is set to launch in India on August 20th as the third phone in the lineup. Ahead of the launch, the brand has been teasing key details about the iQOO Z11. The latest teasers confirm details about the Z11’s cameras and software update policy. This gives us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming iQOO handset.
The iQOO Z11 is confirmed to feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Up front, it gets a 32MP camera for selfies. The camera setup is quite basic and does not offer much versatility, since it lacks a telephoto lens. However, considering the price hikes, you might find similar camera setups in the same segment.
iQOO has confirmed that the Z11 will receive three major Android upgrades (up to Android 19) and five years of security updates. On the software front, the handset will run Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. It will also get several AI features such as AI Captions, AI Creation, AI Routing, Conversation Memory, and Circle to Search. With the phone targeted for college students, iQOO will be offering unlimited AI credits for AI Captions and AI Creation to students.
The iQOO Z11 will feature a large 6.8-inch 3D curved AMOLED 1.5K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits peak brightness. The handset will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset, making it the first phone in India to launch with this chipset. We should know more about the phone’s performance once we review the device.
iQOO has also confirmed a 7,050mAh battery for the Z11, which should be enough for an entire day or more depending on your usage. The handset is also getting IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It will be available in Celestial Blue and Aurora Green colours, housing a slim horizontal camera bar at the back.
The iQOO Z11 is also expected to be priced under Rs 40,000 in India based on the teasers shared by the brand. This would put the Z11 against contenders like the Motorola Edge 70 Pro and OnePlus Nord CE6. Based on the available details, the iQOO Z11 could appeal to people looking for a dependable mid-range phone with a good display and large battery for multimedia and gaming. Since the launch is only two days away, we’d advise waiting for official details before making a buying decision.
