Moto G47 Power spotted on TDRA certification, could boast a larger battery than standard model

Highlights

When it comes to releasing budget and midrange smartphones, Motorola doesn’t shy away from offering buyers a large portfolio of devices to choose from. As a result, the company appears to be preparing to launch the Moto G47 Power, likely an advanced version of the vanilla Moto G47 unveiled in April. The handset was recently spotted on the TDRA certification website, indicating an imminent launch.

Moto G47 Power’s model number revealed on TDRA certification

The Moto G47 Power listing has just appeared on the TDRA certification website with the model number XT2625-15. For the uninitiated, TDRA refers to the mandatory certification issued by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to verify that radio, telecommunication, and wireless devices meet national technical standards and will not cause network interference.

Beyond that, Lenovo Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. has not revealed any details or specifications of the smartphone, other than that it filed for approval before releasing it to market.

How will the Moto G47 Power be different from Moto G47?

The standard Moto G47 launched in April for EUR 319 (approx. Rs. 35,000) in several European countries, with only an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Given that Motorola has previously released only the “Power” variants of its G-series smartphones in India, the G47 Power could follow suit. Historically, the ‘Power’ moniker on Motorola devices usually indicates larger batteries. So, since the standard version packs a 5,200mAh cell, the Moto G47 Power could pack an even larger battery, say 7,000mAh or more.
