Motorola has teased the launch of a new smartphone in India. The Moto G77 Power is set to launch in India next week, expanding its G-series portfolio with a smartphone that prioritises battery life without compromising on everyday features. The handset is confirmed to feature a large 7,000mAh battery, a 50MP camera, military-grade durability, and a flat display.
Moto G77 Power is set to launch in India on July 8th. The launch has been teased through Flipkart and Motorola’s official channels, confirming the phone’s key hardware ahead of its debut. The smartphone will launch in two variants: 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. It will be available in four Pantone colours: Impenetrable, Nautical Blue, Fuchsia Red, and Laurel Green.
The Moto G77 Power’s highlight is its 7,000mAh battery, with Motorola claiming up to three days of battery life on a single charge. That immediately makes it one of the largest batteries in its segment and continues Motorola’s recent strategy of offering “Power” models aimed at users who prioritise battery endurance. For students, travellers, delivery professionals, and anyone who spends long hours away from a charger, the battery could be the phone’s biggest selling point.
On the camera front, the Moto G77 Power features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 primary camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Selfies and video calls are handled by a 32MP front-facing camera. Motorola has increasingly relied on Sony’s LYTIA sensors across its portfolio, promising improved low-light photography and more consistent image processing. This camera setup looks quite promising, especially for the sub-Rs 30,000 segment.
The smartphone sports a 6.72-inch FHD+ flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front, and Gorilla Glass Ceramic reinforcement. The phone is also MIL-STD-810H certified, suggesting it has been made with a focus on durability. In terms of design, Motorola continues its signature vegan leather finish.
The Moto G77 Power includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, Hi-Res Audio certification, and retains the increasingly rare 3.5mm headphone jack. For users who still prefer wired earphones or gaming headsets, the inclusion of the headphone jack could be a welcome addition.
The Moto G77 Power ships with Android 16 out of the box and is guaranteed to receive the Android 17 update. This means that the G77 Power will receive only one OS upgrade, which is usually the case with Moto’s G series.
While Motorola is yet to officially announce the Moto G77 Power’s price, the company’s promotional teasers strongly suggest that the handset will be priced below Rs 30,000 in India. If that turns out to be the case, it will enter one of the country’s most competitive smartphone segments.
If your priority is a phone that can comfortably last multiple days, offers a clean Android experience, retains practical features like a headphone jack, and delivers capable cameras for everyday photography, Motorola’s G77 Power could be worth waiting for.
