The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is expected to launch as the next phone from the Edge 70 series. The smartphone has been showing up on leaks and rumours lately, suggesting an imminent launch. Motorola has started teasing a new phone on Flipkart, highlighting its design and camera features. There’s no launch date or the device’s name, but it’s highly speculated that the phone in question is the Motorola Edge 70 Pro. The timing is also close to the Edge 60 Pro (review), which launched in India last April.
New Motorola phone teased on Flipkart
There’s a new Motorola phone coming soon to India, according to the latest teaser on Flipkart. We get a glimpse of the phone’s camera design, which is quite like the other Edge 70 series phones. This confirms a square-shaped camera module and possibly a curved screen as well. The teaser also suggests improved low-light photography for the upcoming Motorola phone, with the tagline ‘seize the night’.
The smartphone is also teased to launch in three finishes: tailored fabric (blue), satin-luxe (olive green), and marble finish (white/light grey).

Motorola Edge 70 Pro: what to expect
Just last week, renders of what’s believed to be the Motorola Edge 70 Pro were leaked online. The smartphone is said to launch in three Pantone finishes: Pantone Titan (blue) and Pantone Zinfandel (maroon), and an unnamed wood-textured variant. The smartphone might end up launching in several colour variants.
According to recent certification listings and leaks, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is expected to house a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. This would be a marginal upgrade from the Edge 60 Pro’s 6,000mAh unit. The battery capacity should still be good enough for regular to moderate usage.
In addition to improved low-light photography, the Edge 70 Pro could feature a Sony Lytia camera system with ‘Super Zoom’ support. The smartphone is also confirmed to get HDR10+ support, which ensures more vivid colours and better contrast while streaming content with better detail in bright and dark scenes.
There’s a Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ rumoured as well, and it was spotted on the HDR10+ certification as well. This smartphone would be a more powerful version of the Edge 70 Pro if it debuts eventually.
The Edge 70 Pro will succeed the popular Edge 60 Pro, which impressed us with its design, performance, cameras, and battery life. If the Edge 70 Pro offers notable upgrades, then the smartphone would be a top contender in the mid-range segment. It can be recommended to buyers who want a slim and premium design, capable performance and cameras, and a reliable battery life.
