Motorola is gearing up to launch the Edge 70 Pro+ in India on June 4th. It’s launching as the most premium model in the lineup, offering a periscope camera with 3.5x optical zoom. The Edge 70 Pro+ will be the fourth model to join the existing lineup, which already has the Edge 70, Edge 70 Fusion, and Edge 70 Pro. Ahead of the debut, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ specifications have reportedly been listed on its official website.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ specifications
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ will sport a 6.8-inch AMOLED display (2772×1272 pixels) with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, HDR10+, Pantone Validated colours, and a peak brightness of 5200 nits. The panel further includes Water Touch support and SGS certifications for reduced blue light and motion blur, features aimed at improving outdoor usability and long-term viewing comfort.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. This is the same chipset powering the Edge 70 Pro, which means we can expect similar performance from both phones, which is known to be one of the best in the segment. The handset will boot Android 16 out of the box and is confirmed to receive three years of Android OS upgrades along with five years of security patches.
For photography, Motorola has equipped the device with a triple 50MP rear camera setup. The primary sensor is Sony’s LYTIA 710 with optical image stabilisation (OIS), accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide and macro shooter. The third sensor is a periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom and support for up to 50x Super Zoom. This would be a key highlight for the Edge 70 Pro+, giving it an advantage for wildlife or sports photography and portraits. On the front too, the phone houses a 50MP autofocus selfie camera.

Motorola has packed a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery into the Edge 70 Pro+, while keeping the phone relatively slim at 7.19mm to 7.34mm in thickness. Charging options include 90W wired, 15W wireless, 10W wireless reverse, and 5W wired reverse support. So you’re not only getting a large battery capacity, but multiple charging options as well.
Additional features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint scanner, face unlock, ThinkShield security protection, and IP68/IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
With its combination of a large battery, high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, versatile camera system, and relatively slim design, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ appears aimed at users looking for a feature-packed premium smartphone without stepping into ultra-flagship pricing territory. Pricing will be key here and possibly on the higher side, too. But with the specifications revealed so far, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ would be worth waiting for. However, if you own an Edge 70 Pro, the performance jump might not be significant enough to warrant an immediate switch, unless the periscope camera is a must-have.
