Motorola Razr 70 Swarovski Edition design confirmed ahead of IFA 2026 debut

Highlights
  • Motorola will unveil the Razr 70 Swarovski Edition at IFA 2026 in Berlin in early September.
  • The phone is expected to retain the Razr 70’s hardware, including a 6.9-inch OLED display and Dimensity 7450X chipset.
  • The Swarovski edition is only expected to differ through its crystal-covered black design.

Motorola is bringing back its Swarovski collaboration for another Razr foldable, with the company confirming that a crystal-covered edition will be unveiled at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The new model follows last year’s Razr 60 Swarovski Edition and is expected to use the Razr 70 as its base. Motorola hasn’t revealed its price or release date, but the first teasers provide a look at its updated design.

Motorola’s teaser shows the back of the foldable with a black diamond-patterned finish covered in Swarovski crystals. Leaked renders of the phone show additional crystals below the cover screen and around the hinge, matching the design seen in the official teaser. The black finish gives the new edition a more understated look than the previous Razr 60 Swarovski Edition, which used a brighter and more decorative design. The crystal detailing remains the main visual difference from the regular Razr, rather than a change to the phone’s underlying hardware.

Motorola hasn’t confirmed the full specifications, but the Razr 70 is expected to provide the hardware foundation. That includes a 6.9-inch OLED inner display and 3.63-inch external screen, along with a 4,800mAh battery. The regular Razr 70 also features a Dimensity 7450X chipset, up to 512GB of storage, dual 50MP rear cameras and a 32MP selfie camera. Charging is rated at 30W wired and 15W wireless. There is currently no indication that the Swarovski edition will make significant changes to these specifications.

The Swarovski edition will compete purely on design. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 8, for example, offers a more established foldable platform with a stronger software ecosystem, while phones such as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 target buyers looking for a different foldable form factor. Motorola’s crystal edition is aimed at a narrower audience: buyers who want a flip phone that doubles as a fashion accessory. That also means its value will depend on the premium Motorola places on the Swarovski branding.

Motorola has yet to announce the price or exact release date. More details are expected at IFA 2026, including availability and whether the phone will come with accessories such as a transparent case designed to keep the crystal detailing visible.
