The company appears to be experimenting with different materials this time, rather than sticking to standard glossy or matte backs. As per a new report, the Razr 70 is expected to come in Pantone Sparkling Green, Pantone Hematite, and a pink variant, and each one is said to bring a different finish. The green model reportedly has a carbon fibre-like texture, while the Hematite version has a fabric-style feel. The pink option is described as using a third, distinct finish, though specifics aren’t clear yet.

That mix suggests Motorola is trying to make the choice about more than just colour. Depending on which one you pick, the phone could feel noticeably different in everyday use. This approach is in line with Motorola’s recent Pantone collaborations, where colour and material are treated as part of the design identity. On a foldable, where design already carries more weight, that shift stands out to give the device added flair.

Beyond the finishes, the Razr 70 looks largely familiar. Certification listings from TENAA and 3C point to a 6.9-inch internal OLED display paired with a 3.63-inch cover screen. The phone is listed at 7.2 mm thick when unfolded and weighs 188 gms, in line with other flip-style foldables.
In terms of specs, a dual 50MP rear camera setup is expected, with the secondary sensor likely offering 3x optical zoom, alongside a 32MP front camera. The battery is tipped at 4,500mAh, similar to the previous generation. Charging sees a small bump, with support for up to 33W wired speeds, compared to 30W on the Motorola Razr 60. It’s an upgrade, but not one that will change how the phone feels day to day. Motorola is also expected to offer multiple configurations, going up to 18GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, which keeps the Razr 70 in premium territory.
The Razr 70 is expected to launch alongside the Razr 70 Ultra, likely around the same time of year as its predecessor. The Razr 60 arrived in India in May 2025 starting at Rs 49,999, and the new model is expected to sit in a similar, if not slightly higher, range. Motorola’s pitch with the Razr line has been consistent: a compact fold, a usable outer display, and relatively clean software. With the Razr 70, the focus seems to be on polishing that experience rather than changing direction. If you’re using the Razr 60, the changes so far don’t point to a clear upgrade. It may make sense to wait for clearer differences in performance or camera output.
