Motorola Razr 70 Ultra specs leak reveals Snapdragon 8 Elite, 5,000mAh battery
Motorola Razr 70 Ultra could be inching closer to its debut as it appears in another leak. This is Motorola’s upcoming foldable and the top-end model in a flip-style design. Last week, we got a good look at the Razr 70 Ultra’s design through leaked renders, and now we have all the key specs of the foldable leaked online. Based on the new leak, the upcoming Razr 70 Ultra is shaping up to be a familiar story, and not necessarily in a good way. Motorola may be taking a conservative route this year, with the new Razr Ultra looking more like a refined refresh than a meaningful upgrade over its predecessor, the Razr 60 Ultra.

According to a report by Android Headlines, the Razr 70 Ultra could carry forward much of what we’ve already seen. That includes a triple 50MP camera system, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage. Even the displays may remain untouched, with a 4-inch cover screen and a 7-inch internal panel carrying the same resolutions.
The only notable internal upgrade appears to be the chipset, with the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 expected to replace last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. That should bring significant efficiency and performance gains from the predecessor.

Motorola may slightly bump the battery capacity to 5,000mAh, a roughly 6 percent increase from the Razr 60 Ultra’s 4,700mAh unit. It’s a welcome change, but not a transformative one, especially when phones these days are pushing 7,000mAh and upwards. However, considering this is a foldable device, the expectations for battery capacity are still relatively low.
Physically, the Razr 70 Ultra is expected to be nearly identical to its predecessor, with similar dimensions and weight. The only visible difference could come from new colour options: Pantone Cocoa Wood and Orient Blue Alcantara.
If you’re using the Razr 60 Ultra, you might want to skip the Razr 70 Ultra. The improvements, while real, may not be significant enough to justify an upgrade. However, if you’re coming from an older flip phone, the Razr 70 Ultra could still be a compelling upgrade. You’re flagship-grade hardware, a smoother overall experience, and an interactive cover display, which Motorola’s foldables are known for. Samsung is also expected to launch its flagship Galaxy Z Flip8 later this year, which directly competes with the Razr lineup. So, you might want to wait for that too.
