Nothing Phone (4a) Pro first teaser confirms Phone (3)-like Glyph Matrix ahead of today’s launch
Nothing is launching the Phone (4a) series later today in London, with the phones going live in India as well. The lineup will include two models: the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. Up until now, Nothing has been teasing only the standard Phone (4a), revealing its design, colourful lineup, and a new Glyph Bar. Now, just hours before its debut, Nothing has dropped the first teaser for the Phone (4a) Pro with all focus on the Glyph design, which looks quite like the Glyph Matrix that we saw on the Phone (3) last year.
The teaser post doesn’t say Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, but considering we’ve already seen the (4a)’s design, it’s quite likely the Pro model. The image also doesn’t reveal the phone’s design properly, but it’s more of a silhouette with only the Glyph Matrix highlighted. The design and placement strongly suggest it’s similar to the Phone (3)’s Glyph Matrix, which is a tiny circular display on the top-right corner, same as the one shown in the teaser image.

The Glyph Matrix on the Phone (3) is the most evolved version of Nothing’s Glyph Interface that we’ve seen so far. It shows pixelated animations of names and notifications, apps like the timer, and even some games like spin the bottle that you can play with your friends. It’s an interactive LED display that adds to the overall aesthetic of the phone.
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is also rumoured to launch without a fully transparent rear panel. The cameras and the Glyph Matrix, or whatever it’s called, will reportedly sit inside a transparent raised plateau. There’s also a concept render of the Phone (4a) Pro’s design with this semi-transparent look, but the result isn’t appealing at all. You can still check out the design below.

The Phone (4a) Pro is tipped to start around Rs 40,000, which is quite steep from the (3a) Pro (Rs 29,999). The price hike isn’t completely surprising, as Nothing co-founder Carl Pei already hinted at it, giving a surge in memory prices as the reason. With only a few hours to go for the Phone (4a) series launch, we will soon know the complete details of both phones. Anyone eyeing either of the Phone (4a) series phones should wait for the final reveal and comparisons to see if they’re worth the upgrade.
