OnePlus has officially announced the launch date for its next Ace smartphone series. The OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro will debut in China next week. Like the previous generations, the OnePlus Ace 7 series will also focus on performance and gaming with dedicated hardware and features.
OnePlus Ace 7 series China launch
The OnePlus Ace 7 series is launching in China on October 29th. The launch event is scheduled to take place at 7 pm China time, which would be 4:30 pm IST for viewers in India. Both phones are also available for pre-order in China.
OnePlus Ace 7 series: what to expect
OnePlus has confirmed the Ace 7 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which was launched last year. It’s a flagship chipset proven to deliver peak performance speeds and endurance. The company has also detailed the Ace 7 series’ cooling system, which is expected to be its highlight. This would also be an upgrade over the Ace 6 series, as it only came with external cooling accessories. The OnePlus Ace 7 series features an industry-first “Dual-Path Glacier Air Cooling System,” designed to keep temperatures up to 10 degrees Celsius lower during continuous gaming.
The cooling system has a dual-path airflow architecture where hot air is blown away, and cool air reaches your hands. It is also said to use the same tower fin structure as professional graphics cards and PC coolers, offering ultra-high heat dissipation efficiency. The OnePlus Ace 7 series will also feature an additional dedicated sensor that ensures the fan works only when required.
The OnePlus Ace 7 series is also expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K flat OLED display and a super-high 185Hz refresh rate, which means buttery smooth graphics for gaming. General scrolling will most likely be restricted to 165Hz, which would also be one of the highest in the segment.
Based on what we know so far, the OnePlus Ace 7 series is made for serious gaming. If you’re looking for a phone where you can game for long without having to worry about heating issues or performance lags, the OnePlus Ace 7 series could be worth waiting for. You can also compare it with the upcoming Redmi K100 to see which gaming phone is the better fit for you.
