OnePlus N6 vs iQOO Z11x: price

The iQOO Z11x launched in India in March, starting at Rs 18,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, but the model is now available for Rs 22,999. Meanwhile, the OnePlus N6 launched at Rs 22,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. Here’s the detailed price comparison:

OnePlus N6iQOO Z11x
4GB + 128GBRs 22,999NA
6GB + 128GBRs 24,999Rs 22,999
8GB + 128GBNARs 24,999
8GB + 256GBNARs 26,999

While the starting price of both the iQOO Z11x and OnePlus N6 are the same, iQOO Z11x offers more RAM at the same price. Plus, a hike for the OnePlus N6 cannot be ruled out in future, considering DRAM and NAND prices haven’t yet stabilised, and they’ll keep affecting the cost of smartphones.

Additionally, the N6 doesn’t offer more on-device storage than 128GB, though it comes with a microSD slot that supports up to 2TB more. So if you’re looking for a 256GB phone, the iQOO Z11x gives you that option.

Design

Starting with the appearance, both smartphones feature flat frames with polycarbonate rear panels and carry MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification for improved drop resistance. However, the iQOO Z11x enjoys a clear advantage in durability by offering IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, while the OnePlus N6 settles for an IP65 rating. While all three offer the highest level of dust resistance, IP68 is built for full underwater submersion, IP69 is designed to withstand intense high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns, and IP65 only withstands low-pressure water jets.

OnePlus N6

In terms of colours, the OnePlus N6 is available in Fresh Mint and Midnight Green finishes, whereas the iQOO Z11x comes in Titan Black and Prismatic Green. Despite housing a larger battery, the OnePlus N6 weighs 224 gms, only slightly more than the iQOO Z11x’s 219 gms. Both smartphones are on the heavier side, but that’s an expected trade-off for their large battery capacities.

Display

The OnePlus N6 features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ (1570 x 720) resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,200 nits peak brightness. The iQOO Z11x sports a slightly smaller 6.76-inch IPS LCD display but upgrades to an FHD+ (2344 x 1080) resolution while retaining the same 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits High Brightness Mode.

The higher resolution gives the iQOO Z11x a noticeable advantage when watching videos, browsing the web, or reading text, as images and fonts should appear sharper. Since both devices support a 120Hz refresh rate, scrolling through the interface and supported apps should feel equally smooth.

Performance

On the performance front, the iQOO Z11x is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset, built on a 4nm process. It sits a tier above the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max found inside the OnePlus N6. While both processors should comfortably handle everyday tasks and casual gaming, the Dimensity 7400 Turbo is expected to offer better sustained performance for heavier games and multitasking.

iQQQ Z11x

Both smartphones feature LPDDR4X RAM, but their configurations differ. The OnePlus N6 is available in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, while the iQOO Z11x starts with 6GB RAM and goes up to 8GB. The higher memory options should allow the iQOO Z11x to keep more apps running in the background, while it also supports up to 8GB of virtual RAM expansion.

Storage is another area where the iQOO Z11x gains an advantage. It comes equipped with UFS 3.1 storage, while OnePlus uses UFS 2.2 on the N6. Faster storage generally results in quicker app launches, shorter installation times, and faster file transfers, giving the iQOO an edge in day-to-day responsiveness.

For thermal management, the OnePlus N6 includes a 5,300 sq mm vapour chamber cooling system. The iQOO Z11x doesn’t feature a dedicated liquid-cooling vapour chamber, but rather utilises a highly efficient passive thermal control system. Both smartphones support bypass charging, which helps minimise heat generation during extended gaming sessions while plugged in.

Battery and charging

Battery capacity is where the OnePlus N6 makes its strongest case. It packs a massive 8,000mAh battery compared to the iQOO Z11x’s already sizeable 7,200mAh cell. The larger capacity should translate into longer screen-on time, particularly for users who stream videos, play games, or travel frequently.

Charging speeds remain almost identical. The OnePlus N6 supports 45W SUPERVOOC charging, while the iQOO Z11x offers 44W FlashCharge. Both smartphones also support reverse charging and bypass charging, allowing users to power other devices or reduce heat while gaming during charging. Because of its larger battery, the OnePlus N6 may take slightly longer to charge fully than the iQOO Z11x.

Cameras

The OnePlus N6 features a single 50MP rear camera with support for up to 10x digital zoom and 1080p video recording at 60fps. In comparison, the iQOO Z11x offers a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary sensor and a 2MP bokeh camera.

Up front, the difference is even more significant. The OnePlus N6 gets an 8MP selfie camera, whereas the iQOO Z11x packs a 32MP front camera. On paper, the iQOO should capture sharper selfies and deliver better-quality video calls. It also supports 4K video recording using both the front and rear cameras, giving it a clear edge for content creation.

Software

The OnePlus N6 ships with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, while the iQOO Z11x runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box. Both smartphones are promised two major Android OS upgrades, meaning they should eventually receive Android 18. However, the iQOO Z11x is guaranteed four years of security updates, one year more than the OnePlus N6’s three-year commitment. Users planning to keep their smartphone for several years may find the longer security support more reassuring.

  • Sharper display: It has a sharper FHD+ 120Hz display for watching videos, reading, and gaming.
